Hiroko Urakami, Hanshi Promoted to 10th Dan!
In a recent facebook posting Earl Hartman sensei pointed out what could be the first female 10th dan in the history of the modern ANKF. On May 1st, 2010, Hiroko Urakami, Hanshi, was promoted to 10th dan. Urakami sensei has taught at American national seminars and here is a very nice picture of her that some American seminar attendees might recognize:
